Yang Zhilin is a Chinese researcher and entrepreneur who co-founded Moonshot AI and leads its Kimi models.

Yang Zhilin co-founded Moonshot AI in March 2023 with Tsinghua classmates after working at Google Brain, Meta, and Huawei.¹ The Kimi product takes its name from his English nickname.¹
