Frank Wang is a Chinese engineer who founded DJI while studying at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Frank Wang (Wang Tao) founded DJI in 2006 after building flight-control prototypes at HKUST.¹ He is from Hangzhou and later moved the company to Shenzhen.¹
